Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a programme of academic exchange, theoretical seminars, and practical workshops dedicated to research collaboration, scientific writing, and the application of artificial intelligence. The activities were hosted by the Faculty of Information Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, with the GreenTech Horizons project and GreenTech laboratory presented to the academic community.
The programme brought together academic staff, researchers, PhD students, and early-career researchers interested in innovation, green technologies, sustainable development, and artificial intelligence. Opening discussions focused on sharing research experience and identifying opportunities for future collaboration between the participating institutions.
A dedicated session on scientific writing and publishing covered research article structure, literature reviews, research methodology, and the selection of suitable journals and publication venues. The theoretical seminar introduced core concepts in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning, emphasising the selection of appropriate methods for different research problems.
The practical workshop enabled participants to work with open-access datasets, progressing from problem definition and method selection to implementation in Python and interpretation of results. Participants particularly valued the opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with practical research tasks.
The academic exchange helped strengthen research, digital, and academic writing skills while establishing new contacts for potential joint research and publications. Presenting GreenTech Horizons and its laboratory further supported project visibility and discussions on cooperation in green technologies, sustainability, and interdisciplinary research.
