Riga Technical University hosted the third joint Train the Teachers Training School within the GreenTech Horizons project. The event brought together more than 40 participants from partner institutions across Europe and Asia to strengthen teaching competencies for developing and delivering courses addressing the green and digital transitions.

The programme focused on enhancing the pedagogical, didactic, and technological capacities of academic staff. Through interactive lectures, practical workshops, guided laboratory visits, and collaborative discussions, participants exchanged knowledge and experiences on innovative approaches to higher education.
The training covered digital tools and literacy for sustainability, artificial intelligence in education, cybersecurity and data ethics in green innovation, environmental science, sustainable energy systems, and smart cities. Dedicated “How to Teach” sessions explored methods for translating subject expertise into effective learning activities.
Participants included professors, lecturers, early-career researchers, and other academic staff from partner institutions in Serbia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. The gathering provided an opportunity to exchange diverse educational experiences and approaches to curriculum development.

Participants responded very positively to the training and expressed interest in the GreenTech Horizons project. The training school helped strengthen partner institutions’ capacity to integrate green and digital topics into teaching and supported further cooperation in developing education for a sustainable future.
