Strengthening Awareness and Engagement Around Sustainable and Digital Transformation
As part of its ongoing regional outreach, the GreenTech Horizons project was introduced through an information session held at Azerbaijan Technological University (ATU) in Ganja. The event gathered students, faculty, researchers, and industry representatives, providing a structured opportunity to share insights into the project’s vision and roadmap for supporting green and digital transitions across higher education systems.
The session, led by Sahil Hamidov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at ATU, offered a comprehensive overview of the project’s strategic goals, methodologies, and expected outcomes, while also emphasizing the importance of stakeholder engagement in shaping project implementation. Particular attention was given to the relevance of the project within Azerbaijan’s academic and industrial development context, especially its potential to drive skills modernization, sustainability awareness, and innovation capacity.
Building Transparency, Collaboration, and Shared Ownership
Participants from across the university and local industry actively contributed to the dialogue, raising questions, offering feedback, and exploring opportunities for collaboration. The session highlighted several key strengths:
